Ben-San Lau
Pianist
Ben-San Lau was born in Manchester. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the National Opera Studio, and the Opéra National de Paris. He is currently a freelance pianist and répétiteur, working regularly for Glyndebourne and The Royal Opera. As a recitalist he has performed at the Barbican Centre, Wigmore Hall, Snape Maltings, the Oxford International Song and Buxton Festivals, and the Internationaal Lied Festival Zeist. He was a recipient of a Musician’s Company Concert Award supported by the Concordia Foundation, a prize winner in the Oxford Song Young Artist Platform, and a Britten-Pears Young Artist. In 2025 he returns to Glyndebourne for the world première of Jonathan Dove’s Uprising and their first-ever production of Wagner’s Parsifal, as well as working on projects for the London Handel Festival and the Oxford International Song Festival.
