Bethan Terry

Soprano

Bethan Terry is a lyric-coloratura soprano, praised for her honest and captivating performances. She was a prize-winner in the Leach Award and won the Dean & Chadlington Competition. She was a finalist or semi-finalist in the ROSL Singers Prize, Hurn Court Singer of the Year, LSF Schubert Prize and Somerset Song Prize. Bethan performed in Wigmore Hall and Paris’ Salle Cortot with the Wigmore French Song Exchange. She was a Leeds Lieder Young Artist and sang on Radio 3 in a concert of George Walker’s music.

Her operatic highlights include Adina in L’elisir d’amore (Wild Arts), Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus (Merry Opera), Belinda in Dido & Aeneas (Somerset Opera) and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte (NWOS), as well as regular appearances with Clonter Opera. In concert, Bethan’s repertoire includes Haydn’s Nelson Mass and The Creation, Mozart’s Requiem, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem and Bach’s Magnificat. She is a Josephine Baker Trust Artist.
