Bill trained as an actor at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. His varied stage career has taken him from Dundee Rep to The Young Vic in London, where he created the stage role of Skipper in The Brylcreem Boys by Peter Durrant.

TV work includes Paradise Postponed by John Mortimer, The Sea Green ManGirls on Top (with Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, and Ruby Wax), and Noel Coward’s Star Quality, (with Ian Richardson, Amanda Donahoe, Susannah York and Pam Ferris).

He began his award winning theatrical ghost tours originally in Burford, and then Oxford. Entertainment based and, illustrated with props and illusions, it has been voted on TripAdvisor as one of 10 best ghost tours in the world. Along with his ghost tour, Bill also regularly performs two of his favourite classic Victorian stories, The Tomb of Sarah and The Monkey’s Paw.
