Bohdana Ravliuk
Pianist
Bohdana Ravliuk is a Ukrainian pianist currently studying Collaborative Piano at the Royal College of Music with Simon Lepper and Richard Uttley. She began her musical education at the age of seven in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. She continued her studies in the Republic of Moldova, earning a master’s degree from the Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts in Chișinău.
Bohdana has participated in numerous international piano festivals, including Klaipėda Piano Masters in Lithuania and Feuerwerk Einbeck in Germany, under the artistic direction of pianist Gintaras Januševičius. She also took part in the Ticino Musica Festival 2025 in Lugano, Switzerland, where she performed chamber works including Brahms’s Piano Trio in C minor, Schumann’s Violin Sonata in A minor, Brahms’s Clarinet Sonata Op. 120 No. 2, and Schumann’s Three Romances Op. 94. During the festival, she received masterclasses from pianist Ulrich Koella.
Her recent collaborations include performances at The Dean & Chadlington Summer Music Festival in the Cotswolds with soprano Natalka Pasicznyk and tenor Guy Beynon, as well as performing as a collaborative pianist for the Songs for Ukraine Chorus at Southwark Cathedral.
While devoted to collaborative performance, Bohdana is also an active soloist. She has appeared in venues such as the United Reformed Church in Witham, Holy Trinity Church in London, the Kaunas State Philharmonic in Lithuania, and the Organ Hall in the Republic of Moldova. Her solo repertoire includes Beethoven sonatas, Chopin’s Preludes Op. 28, Debussy’s Images, Liszt’s Harmonies du soir, and his paraphrase on Verdi’s Rigoletto.
Since moving to England, Bohdana has been actively performing Ukrainian classical music, with a particular focus on Ukrainian art song. She enjoys sharing Ukrainian culture with audiences across the United Kingdom while also regularly supporting charity concerts.
Together with her soprano partner, Siri Marklund, Bohdana won First Prize at the London Song Festival Schubert Song Prize 2025, where they also received a masterclass from pianist Joseph Middleton. Following their win, they will give a winners’ recital at St James’s Church in London. Bohdana is also looking forward to performing another recital with Siri Marklund at the London Song Festival next autumn.
