Camille Lemonnier

Pianist

Camille Lemonnier was born in Munich and started her piano studies at the Nuremberg University of Music in 2011. As student of Ingeborg Schmidt-Noll she obtained a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) with best scores in July 2015. In addition, she acquired during her studies competencies in educational sciences, which were honoured with the First Price of Music Education from the Nuremberg University of Music in 2015. Beside her studies she participated in Master Classes with prof Wolfang Manz, Thomas Hell, prof Dirk Mommertz and prof Konrad Elser. The Franco-German pianist took also a close interest to chamber music from an early age. In November 2014 she received the first Prize and was nominated as the overall winner at the German-Czech Piano competition for four-handed piano. Due to her increased interest in art song she attended the Art- Song-Class of prof Marcelo Amaral in November 2014. She started her subsequent Master of Music (M.Mus.) in Art Song with prof Burkhard Kehring from October 2015 in the Hamburg University of Music and Drama and graduated with best scores. Since September 2017 Camille Lemonnier is student at Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. In her Master’s programme “Piano Accompaniment” she has the opportunity to work with renowned pianists as Eugene Asti, Julius Drake, Iain Burnside, Graham Johnson, Malcom Martineau, Sholto Kynoch and Martin Katz. In London she has performed in Barbican Concert Hall, Milton Court Concert Hall, Wigmore Hall and will be performing at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. Recent awards include the 3rd Pianist Prize at the International Helmut Deutsch Lied Competition in Vienna, the Dennis Horner Accompaniment Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Society Bursary for Young Singers Competition, the Accompaniment Prize and the Schubert Prize at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Furthermore, Camille is also a Leeds Lieder Young Artist. At the Franz Schubert Institute 2019 in Baden she participated in masterclasses with Helmut Deutsch, Wolfram Rieger and Roger Vignoles amongst many other artists who are specialized in song repertoire. In addition to her song work Camille also frequently performs with the Brahms Trio Hamburg which had its debut in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
