Carola Schwab

At the age of 18, Carola Schwab first appeared on the Semperoper stage as a dancer in the Corps de Ballet. Promotions followed to First Soloist in 1984 and Principal in 1996. From 2009 she was part of numerous productions of the Semperoper Ballett as a Character Soloist. She has now been involved with Semperoper Education for 18 years, establishing projects such as "Tanz mal!" and "Gestatten, Monsieur Petipa!"

After 46 seasons, Carola Schwab is taking a well-deserved retirement.
