Edward Kim

Baritone

Edward Kim is a baritone from South Korea. He graduated with a Master of Performance (Distinction) from Royal College of Music and Master of Arts in Advanced Opera Performance (Distinction) from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. 

Notable performances in Edward’s career include performing in the Verbier Festival as part of the Atélier Lyrique, Welsh National Opera Gala under the baton of Maestro Carlo Rizzi as a soloist, International Opera Festival in Berlin as Conte (Le nozze di Figaro) and with the London Philharmonic Orchestra as a soloist.

He has won the Sir Ian Stoutzker Prize, Osaka International Music Competition, Eileen Price Lieder Prize and the Michael Jones Contemporary Opera Prize.

This season, Edward’s engagements include Silvio (Pagliacci) for Singapore Lyric Opera, soloist in Oxford International Song Festival, Vater (Hänsel und Gretel) for Opera Holland Park, Dandini (La Cenerentola) for Welsh National Opera Gala, Samling Artist Programme and Forester (The Cunning Little Vixen) for Hampstead Garden Opera.
