Erin O'Rourke

Soprano

Soprano Erin O’Rourke is an award-winning operatic soprano and concert recitalist, recognized for her exceptional talent and versatility. Her impressive career has seen performances with esteemed orchestras such as the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Juilliard Orchestra, Juilliard 415, New Amsterdam Orchestra, and the renowned Verbier Festival Orchestra. A highlight of her achievements includes participating in the 2023 Laffont Metropolitan Opera Competition, where she secured 1st place in both the NY District and Eastern Regionals.

A native of New York, Ms. O’Rourke completed her Master's in Vocal Arts at The Juilliard School in 2023, studying under the guidance of acclaimed soprano Amy Burton. During her time at Juilliard, she collaborated with renowned directors John Giampetro, Mary Birnbaum, and Steven Wadsworth. Notable performances include Purcell’s King Arthur under Maestro Lionel Meunier with Juilliard 415, Seven Early Songs by Berg at Alice Tully Hall with Juilliard Orchestra, and portraying Nella in Juilliard Opera’s production of Gianni Schicchi.

In 2023, Erin was honored as one of the prestigious Gerdine Young Artists at Opera Theatre of St. Louis. There, she covered the title role of Susannah in Patricia Racette’s production by Carlisle Floyd before joining the Atelier Lyrique at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, showcasing her talent in recitals alongside distinguished pianist James Ballieu.

Ms. O’Rourke’s opera credits include her debut with Raylynmor Opera as Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff and covering the lead role of Anna in Boïeldieu’s La dame blanche at New Amsterdam Opera. Specializing in early and baroque music led her to the Chicago Summer Opera Company, portraying the title role in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea.

Passionate about art song, Erin participated in numerous concerts focusing on female composers Madeleine Dring and Lili Boulanger, performing in curated Liederabende at Alice Tully Hall and the Juilliard School. She featured in concert works with Juilliard’s Focus Festival under Dr. Joel Sachs, earning praise from the NYT as "Broadway Meets Avant-garde" and made her Lincoln Center debut in the CPE Bach concert festival at the Bruno Walter Theater.

Currently pursuing her artist diploma at the Royal Academy of Music in London under the tutelage of Susannah Waters, Erin O’Rourke continues to enchant audiences. Upcoming performances include the role of Dalinda in Ariodante and concert work with the touring orchestra, Juilliard 415.
