Gus Tredwell

Pianist

Gus Tredwell is a British pianist who lives and works in London. He recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, where he specialised in vocal accompaniment and chamber music under the tuition of James Baillieu and Malcolm Martineau.

Notable achievements at the Academy include representing the RAM Song Circle at Wigmore Hall, winning the pianist’s award in the Rex Stephens Schumann Lieder competition, and winning the pianist’s award in the RAM Club Prize, which was open to all invited soloists and ensembles.

He is also an active arranger and orchestrator, having contributed to projects by the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, and he is a member of the Nuevo Tango Quintet, an ensemble specialising in the music of Piazzolla, who have played on Radio 3 and at the time of writing are in the semi-finals of the Royal Overseas League competition.
