Isabelle Peters

British soprano, Isabelle Peters, is a current English National Opera 'Harewood Artist', a former Welsh National Opera Associate Artist, and an alumna of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Northern College of Music.​

During her time with the Welsh National Opera for the company's 2021/2022 season, Isabelle appeared in the roles of Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Jana (Jenůfa), Nadine (Migrations), and Berta (Il barbiere di Sivilglia).​

This season Isabelle made her Royal Opera House debut in the role of ‘Sigismondo’ in Handel’s Arminio to critical acclaim: "(...)in particular, Isabelle Peters as Sigismondo brings obvious promise and secure techniques to Handel's demanding writing, with Peters particularly impressive in the Act Two aria 'Quella fiamma'" (Martin Kettle, The Guardian). Isabelle will later appear as Esmeralda (The Bartered Bride, Garsington Opera) and Nannetta (Falstaff, Opera North).

​Other recent roles include: Kate (Yeoman of the Guard, ENO), Daughter 2 (Akhnaten, ENO) Lepida (Silla, Northern Opera Co.), Dido (Dido's Ghost, Barbican), Fiordiligi (Cosí fan tutte, Waterperry Opera), 1st Bridesmaid (The Marriage of Figaro, English National Opera), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte, Waterperry Opera), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro, Opera Holland Park, YA), and Erste Dame (Die Zauberflöte, Cover/Performed, Garsington Opera).

​Isabelle is a passionate recitalist and most recently brought a song recital to BBC Hoddinott Hall with Malcolm Martineau. She is a 2022 Classic fm “30 Under 30 Rising Star” and finalist of both the Voice of a Black Opera and the ROSL Annual Music Competition.
