Jasmin Allpress

Jasmin Allpress presents a modern and insightful take on the classical music scene. A recent prize winner at the Rebecca Clarke Song Competition, she collaborates with musicians internationally and has appeared at renowned festivals such as the Leeds International Chamber Festival, New Music North West and Lake Summer Music, and performed in venues including the Wigmore Hall, Viennese Hall, Salzburg, the Bridgewater Hall, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Chester Storyhouse.

A keen advocate for new music, Jasmin has commissioned several pieces including a new piece for piano trio and contemporary dance with the Larisa Trio composed by Devon Bonelli and performed a new piano trio written for the Larisa Trio by Michael Finnissy. She is currently over half way through a year long project recording and improvising with birdsong and is keen to explore how music can help us find a deeper appreciation and respect for the natural world.

She holds a Masters in performance with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a graduate of the joint honours degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Manchester. Aside from music, Jasmin loves being outdoors, practising yoga and drinking lots of tea.
