Marc Busquets

Marc Busquets Figuerola is the Artistic Director of the Lied Festival Victoria de los Ángeles (LIFE Victoria Barcelona) since 2017. A Festival organized by the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation, which also manages. In its ten firsts years LIFE Victoria has gained a place in the national and international music environment by combining musical excellence though established artists but also giving the opportunity to young talent and also focusing on the academic side. Born in Barcelona, graduated in Journalism at Barcelona’s Universitat Ramon Llull and completed his background with a Masters in Performing Arts Administration at the New York University. Since the beginning he has combined both management and artistic matters. He has worked at Gotham Chamber Opera (New York) and Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), where he created a brand new structure of American Friends. He has also written articles and reviews for magazines such as Ópera Actual, Revista Musical Catalana or Ritmo, and newspapers such as La Vanguardia or Avui. He has Music studies at the Conservatori del Liceu and opera management by Opera Europa. He makes his debut as director with this scenic recital about Goya and Granados, which will be also seen at the Palau Güell in Barcelona.
