Oxford Contemporary Sinfonia
Oxford Contemporary Sinfonia was founded by Benjamin Nicholas in 1998 while he was still an undergraduate. It is a flexibly constituted ensemble dedicated to the performance of new and recent music for choir and ensemble. Premieres by the group include John Caldwell’s Good Friday and Gabriel Jackson’s The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ and The Christmas Story. The players of Oxford Contemporary Sinfonia are all experienced performers of new music.
