Peter Asimov

Peter Asimov is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Cambridge and Fellow and Director of Studies in Music at Magdalene College. He recently concluded a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellowship and he was also a research associate at the Bibliothèque nationale de France from 2021–24.
His research on nineteenth- and twentieth-century French music is published or forthcoming in leading international musicological journals, including 19th-Century Music, the Journal of the Royal Musical Association, and the Journal of Musicology, as well as in several edited volumes, and he is active as a public speaker, programme annotator, and pianist.
