Rafael Fingerlos is considered one of the most exciting singers of his generation and can already look back on a remarkable international career. At home on the operatic stage as well as in lieder and concert performances, he has performed numerous times on major international stages such as the Vienna State Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Colòn, Semperoper Dresden, Teatro Real, and most recently at the Garsington Opera Festival. Opera engagements have also taken him to the Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg , the Aix-en-Provence Festival and the Bregenz and Salzburg Festivals.
Song recitals with his regular song partner Sascha El Mouissi occupy a central place in the artistic work of the Austrian baritone.
He recently received a very special honor in October 2023: he was the first Austrian singer in 70 years to give a sold-out solo recital on the legendary stage of the Teatro Colòn in Buenos Aires.
Since 2017, a total of seven critically acclaimed solo CDs have been released. The most recent album, "Mozart made in Salzburg" (Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Leopold Hager), is entirely dedicated to arias by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In addition to numerous radio broadcasts and recordings, Rafael Fingerlos is also known to a broad classical music audience through numerous appearances and programs, primarily on Austrian and German television including the 2019 New Year's Concert Interval Film, the 2023 Vienna Symphony Orchestra Prater Concert, Franz Schubert and Folk Music, the documentary: My Mozart, My Salzburg, Johannes Brahms and Folk Music, and the ORF III Christmas Concerts 2022-2024.
