Runzhe Li

Tenor

Chinese tenor Runzhe Li, born in Shanghai in 1998, gave his first Liederabend at the age of 23, in September 2021. He completed his bachelor's degree in singing at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Prof. Bo Song and was part of the Lied class of Prof. Zheng Zhou. 

Since October 2021, Runzhe has been studying in the Master's degree in Liedgestaltung with Prof. Marcelo Amaral and Nikolay Borchev at the Conservatory of Music Nuremberg in Germany. In Shanghai, the young tenor was heard as a soloist in Beethoven's Symphony No.9 and Choral Fantasy. He also appeared in the Chinese opera Tang Xianzu at the University of Melbourne Conservatory of Music and at the Sydney Opera House.

In addition to his studies, he attended master classes, among others, by Prof. Hartmut Höll, Graham Johnson, Simon Lepper, Sholto Kynoch, and others. Now he is a member of the Academy of the Rundfunkchor Berlin.
