Sarah Liisa has been delighting audiences for years with her juicy and arresting innovations on stories both familiar and obscure, drawing material from all over the world but most especially from Finnish and Nordic folklore.

Her tales bring you beasts and gods dreaming in the deep green of the Finnish forest, girls wrestling many-headed trolls in the mountains, pure-hearted fools chasing magic apples in a land of wonder, and dancing devils causing chaos and joy.

She has told stories to people in the UK and internationally in theatres, festivals, clubs, pubs, churches, boats, front rooms and all-night sleepovers. She regularly works and performs with performance-storytelling pioneers, The Crick Crack Club, and is part of multi-disciplined storytelling and music group, The Embers Collective.
