Sarah Murer

Sarah was born in 1999 in Lugano, Switzerland. After completing her first year of a Bachelor’s degree in classical piano at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano) with Nora Doallo, she moved to London to continue her studies at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After obtaining a Bachelor in Music with Honours under the guidance of Peter Bithell, she recently pursued a Masters in Piano Accompaniment under the guidance of Bretton Brown.

She performed as a soloist and in many ensembles in venues such as Spazio Fazioli in Milan, Palazzo dei Congressi in Stresa, LAC Lugano, Museum Vincenzo Vela, Villa Durazzo (Santa Margherita Ligure) and the Temple Réformé in Fribourg in the occasion of the 21st Schubertiade d’Espace 2. She had the pleasure to collaborate with the Swiss Italian Orchestra (OSI), with the CISA Film Academy and with RTS (Swiss Radio and Television) for several projects including a solo recital broadcasted live on Radio Rete Due and a documentary produced by RSI.

Sarah is a dedicated chamber musician and accompanist working with different ensembles and singers. In 2021 she formed the Trio De Lumière with the two flutists Karen Wong and Pauline Delamotte, with which she performs regularly and she is currently taking part in numerous projects as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician around London and abroad.

Over the years she had the opportunity to receive tuition from internationally acclaimed musicians such as Christopher Elton, Dmitri Alexeev, Irene Veneziano, Noriko Ogawa, Caroline Palmer, Carole Presland, Evan Rothstein, Simon Blendis, Alessandro Moccia, Saiko Sasaki, Markus Hadulla, Sam Armstrong, Linnhe Robertson, Gordon Back, David Selig and members of the Endellion Quartet.

She has been supported by the Lyra Foundation and Guildhall School Trust.
