Sebastian Hill is a recent graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford and a current scholarship holder at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He studies with David Pollard and is supported by the H R Taylor Trust, Drake Calleja Trust and The Countess of Munster Trust.

Solo highlights include Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin (Oxford Festival of the Arts/Shipston-on-Stour), Evangelist for Bach's St John Passion (Oxford Bach Soloists, Worcester Cathedral Choir, New College Choir, Winchester Bach Voices), Haydn’s Creation (Burford Singers), Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (Birmingham Symphony Hall, Ex Cathedra/New College Choir, Oxford), Bach’s B Minor Mass (Lewes Baroquefest), Handel's Messiah (Birmingham Symphony Hall, Ex Cathedra), and Monteverdi Vespers (Birmingham Town Hall, Ex Cathedra).

Sebastian was awarded first prize in the 2023 Patricia Routledge English Song Competition, and was a semi-finalist in the International Handel Singing Competition. He is currently a Samling Artist as well as an Oxford Song Young Artist alongside duo partner Will Harmer. As a member of the GSMD semi-chorus he performed Mendelssohn's Elijah with the LSO/Antonio Pappano. He was an Ex Cathedra graduate scholar and has performed with ensembles including The Gabrieli Consort, The Sixteen, Stile Antico, Ora Singers, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Arcangelo, Polyphony, and the Oxford Bach Soloists. He has performed at the Utrecht Early Music Festival, the BBC Proms and the Three Choirs Festival. Sebastian was a member of the 2024 Glyndebourne Chorus for performances of Handel’s Giulio Cesare and Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde. In the coming year, he will make his Wigmore Hall debut accompanied by Graham Johnson and his Barbican debut performing Britten’s Serenade conducted by Roberto González Monjas.
