SongSpiel

Formed at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama following a side-by-side project with pianist Alisdair Hogarth and The Prince Consort at Wigmore Hall, SongSpiel seeks to revitalise the song repertoire by exploring new possibilities of dramatic presentation, online content and an equal emphasis on both new and established repertoire. 

Recent concerts include Schumann Spanisches Liederspiel & William Marsey Austerity Songs (new commission) at St James' Piccadily, Brahms Liebeslieder and Hough Other Love Songs at the Sarah Abraham Recital Hall, Brighton College and a collaboration with Ensemble Perpetuo, shadowographer Drew Colby & composer Cheryl Francis-Hoad on her song cycle The Thought Machine.
