Will Harmer

Will Harmer is a London-based pianist and composer. This year he received the Help Musicians Accompanist Prize at the 2026 Kathleen Ferrier Awards and is a City Music Foundation Artist.

As a collaborative pianist, Will has performed recitals at Cheltenham Festival, Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Oxford International Song Festival and International Lied Festival Zeist. Will was an Oxford Song Young Artist 2024-25 and previously the Graduate Musician-in-Residence at St Hilda’s College, Oxford. He has worked as an accompanist for Folkestone Song Academy, Temple Church, Oxford Youth Choirs, Primrose Hill Choirs and Oxford Music Faculty.

As a composer, Will has been commissioned by the BBC Singers, Oxford Song and Ludlow English Song festivals with competition successes including the Lord Mayor’s Composition Prize, BBC Proms Young Composer and John Sanders Memorial Prize. He was a 2023-24 National Youth Choirs Young Composer and his pieces ‘Fireworks’ and ‘Three Madrigals’ were released on NMC Records as part of the scheme and are published by Stainer and Bell in their Choral Now series.

Will is also active as a singer in the London choral scene, performing with groups such as BBC Singers, The Sixteen, Monteverdi Choir, Temple Singers and St Martin’s Voices. He studied with Morgan Hayes at the Royal Academy of Music, having previously studied at Worcester College Oxford with Robert Saxton and Anna Tilbrook.
