We are delighted to welcome back the renowned mezzo-soprano Caitlin Hulcup and leading pianist Gary Matthewman. At the heart of their programme is Ravel’s vibrant and evocative Shéhérazade, conjuring the exotic world of the Thousand and One Nights, the Persian king Shahryar and his young bride Scheherazade. Other songs of queens, knights and mystical lands feature, by Schumann, Berlioz and Sibelius.
