63. French Fables: Jess Dandy & Sholto Kynoch
23 October 2019, 1:05pm - 1:55pm
Presented in association with the University of Birmingham
Contralto Jess Dandy, an Oxford Lieder Young Artist, is fast emerging as one of the most exciting young singers today. Her programme features settings of Baudelaire, including the world premiere of a new song by our Associate Composer, Cheryl Frances-Hoad. She and Sholto Kynoch also perform settings of the seventeenth-century poet and fabulist Jean de la Fontaine, with songs by Saint-Saëns, Offenbach and Gounod.
