Anna Prohaska is hailed the world over for her remarkable singing and vivid performances across a wide range of styles. We’re thrilled that she will appear at the Festival for the first time, joined by the eminent pianist Eric Schneider. Their programme, recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, is set in the past but speaks of the present: wartime texts set to music by composers from Michael Cavendish in the 16th century to Wolfgang Rihm in the 20th, via Beethoven, Poulenc, Weill and others. An unmissable evening.
