Schubert, Fauré and Quilter: Klemens Sander & Sholto Kynoch
31 March 2020, 8:00pm - 9:30pm
At last year’s Spring Song, Klemens Sander stepped in at short notice to give a stunning performance of Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin. This year, he returns to Schubert, in a programme that explores the recurring theme of water that appears in Schubert’s songs, whether as a messenger of love, a symbol of transience or a home to various fishermen, sailors and other figures. He also includes water songs by Brahms, Fauré and Quilter.
