I Will Walk With My Love

The Irish mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy has been in such demand on the operatic stage (everywhere from Madrid to Santa Fe) that it’s been a few years since we’ve heard her in Oxford Song. So her return – along with her regular duo-partner Tanya Blaich – is a cause for celebration, and Murrihy’s commitment to song burns as brightly as ever, as does her “warm, enveloping and profound voice” (Olyrix, May 2026). Tonight, Murrihy and Blaich sing songs from their much-loved debut album I Will Walk With My Love in which folk-inspired love songs from Brahms to Britten sketch a deeply personal portrait of two remarkable artists.
