Serenade

The Kyrgyzstani-German soprano Katharina Konradi, a former BBC New Generation Artist, was born in Bishkek and is the first soprano from Kyrgyzstan to have an international career as a song, concert and opera singer. This is her first appearance at the Festival, and she brings a wonderful programme with the brilliant pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz. Following a group of Mahler songs, they perform Tchaikovsky’s Six French Songs, op.65, some of Granados’s characterful Tonadillas, and songs by Schubert and Liszt.
