Songs of The Mediterranean

Greek soprano Theano Papadaki has been a Britten Pears Young Artist and a City Music Foundation Artist, and is establishing herself as a thrilling emerging soprano. As summer approaches, she takes us to the Mediterranean with a programme inspired by Greek and Italian musical traditions, which range from Monteverdi and Strozzi to Italian folksongs arranged by Luciano Berio, and Greek songs in versions by Yannis Constantinidis and Maurice Ravel.
